My Mother recently spent over 4 weeks at Gateway after a hip replacement surgery. The Gateway staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s frequent visits, especially the intake social worker Hannah! This facility is kept very clean at all times, and my first positive impression walking in, was that it did not have the urine smell that is so often part of elder care facilities. The food was prepared with care, and the grounds were immaculate. The Physical Therapy team was excellent! This was a very difficult time for our family, but I would choose Gateway over any other Porterville facility if given the decision again. Thank you Gateway staff!

Gateway is such a wonderful facility.  My Aunt was admitted to their skilled nursing program after her strokes and was   in a state of decline. Just within several weeks of her admission, she has much improved  in her strength and happiness.  She still has a way to go before she is able to go home, but we are confident that she will get stronger and have more confidence to help care for herself  The entire staff  whom we have had contact are caring, helpful and professional.  We are very grateful and relieved that she is being cared for at Gateway.Both of these were 5 stars!
