Healthcare Services

Do you offer short term rehabilitation?

Yes, we offer short-term rehabilitation at Gateway Post Acute. Our short-term rehabilitation program is designed to help residents recover after surgery, illness, injury, or hospitalization. In addition to physical, occupational, and speech therapy, we offer specialized services such as respiratory support, IV antibiotic therapy, and wound vac treatment to help residents safely return home whenever possible.

When will the doctor see me?

Doctors typically visit once a month. Your nurse will communicate any medical concerns with your doctor before and after they see you.

How often will I have therapy?

Therapy schedules are customized based on each resident’s condition, physician recommendations, and recovery goals. Our rehabilitation team works closely with residents to provide the appropriate level of therapy needed to support progress and independence.

Most patients, depending on their condition and when they are admitted, will start rehab within 24 hours of admission and will receive therapy up to five times per week.

Do I need to bring my medications?

No, you do not need to provide medications unless specifically told to do so. Upon admission, we will order your medications using our off-site pharmacy then securely store them on-site to ensure safety.

How long is a typical stay?

Each case is different and unique. Patient progress is reviewed weekly by our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) of nurses, therapists, and dietitians. Our main goal is that you reach your highest level of independence.
