Such a nice facility! The staff is super nice and very friendly. They made my mother feel at home and took very good care of her could not ask for a better place to take care of a loved one

My brother was here for rehab after a fall for about 5 weeks. He had a great experience. This is a wonderful place! The staff is caring, the activities are great, and he progressed very well with the therapy. He celebrated his birthday during his stay, and he had a great time! It really says something about a place when the resident is homesick for it. He’s happy to be home, but he misses his friends and the staff. I highly recommend Gateway!

I would just like to say that My Mother was here for 2 Weeks for Physical Therapy, I was Comfortably able to go travel For My Sons Wedding, knowing that she was in good hands.. Everyone was really nice there, although it does help when Patient is really sweet also 🙂

A year and half ago I had to be in rehab for fractured pelvis recovery. The place was very clean and kept that way. The employees were absolutely tremendous. Always kind and compassionate. I also noticed they treated others exactly the same. I was so impressed and applaud the people of Gateway! Saundra

A very clean facility and nice employees. When you walk in there is no bad oder when walking down halls. Staff is always busy with the residents and treats them with respect. CNA’s are very good and have fun with the residents while interacting with them. Physical therapist work hard to fulfill the residents needs. Administrative employees are readily available and will answer any questions you have. Outdoor visiting area is clean and the grounds are well kept. Limited outdoor seating needs to be addressed because there is very few chairs to sit in.

My mother was there one month all I can say is I would not even let my dog into this place discussing

my mother was there for two weeks to do rehabilitation within one week being there she was over medicated to point we had brjnv it to the facility’s attention. Last time I checked chemical restraint is illegal .in 2 weeks she wasn’t bathed only given bath in bed one time .The food was horrible like jail food break hard as rock poor people there my heart hurts for anyone goes there .When it was valley care it was way better the food was amazing only plus side of facility PT are amazing other than that I would think before submitting your loved one here if we would have left my mother there she would have died just cause facility is clean don’t mean malpractice going on nurses are rude when u try tell them ur killing my mother

When I first came to Gateway my first day was OK on my second day hell broke loose I am a African-American I really start feeling out of place because how are you head start being treated and I’m talking about staff the patients are great I would just like to say if you have anyone in this facility don’t just trust what they tell you about your love one remember if they are not able to speak who do they have to advocate for them and to see what’s really going on I had a breakdown because I could not take the way some of the people were treated and took my mind off of how I was being treated it was really bad on everything I love it was really bad

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom moved into Gateway Post Acute. They are doing well, considering the circumstances with my mom. Right now, she’s in the short term, which is probably going into the long term. They keep us informed on everything that goes on. Sometimes the food is really good, and other times it’s horrible. I’ve been there several times when my mom was eating. My mom has therapy every day. They offer some Bible study classes. They give you a calendar, and each week they have different activities that the clients can go to if they want. Medicare pays for it. My mom’s room is clean and small. This facility does not have the smell that some of them do. There’s no odor there when you walk in. We were impressed with that.

My Mother recently spent over 4 weeks at Gateway after a hip replacement surgery. The Gateway staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family’s frequent visits, especially the intake social worker Hannah! This facility is kept very clean at all times, and my first positive impression walking in, was that it did not have the urine smell that is so often part of elder care facilities. The food was prepared with care, and the grounds were immaculate. The Physical Therapy team was excellent! This was a very difficult time for our family, but I would choose Gateway over any other Porterville facility if given the decision again. Thank you Gateway staff!

Gateway is such a wonderful facility. My Aunt was admitted to their skilled nursing program after her strokes and was in a state of decline. Just within several weeks of her admission, she has much improved in her strength and happiness. She still has a way to go before she is able to go home, but we are confident that she will get stronger and have more confidence to help care for herself The entire staff whom we have had contact are caring, helpful and professional. We are very grateful and relieved that she is being cared for at Gateway.

My Father was here for almost a month after he had a stroke and got moved from another hospital in Los Angeles. I cant thank enough to everyone that works here. Hannah (Admissions), Ruby (Social Worker) Mason (Administrator), Nikki (Dietitian), Josie (Nurse), Irene, Sarah, Jose and everyone else took care of my father and was a great help in his rehab. Sorry if i missed anyone and did not mention them by their name. PT, OT and speech therapy team worked with my father and we saw great improvement in my fathers health. Had a relative stay a few weeks ago and the staff was amazing to her. The staff (Camille R.) really is passionate and caring in what she does. Great place.
